Chocolate Cheesecake Shakedown - MOD

Ingredients

My changes are:

  • 3 doonks of stevia

  • 1 tsp. Natural Burst Chocolate Extract

  • 2T cocoa powder

  • 1C okra

  • 2 Tablespoons Chocolate Whey

Preparation

I wanted a big and filling shake for breakfast after a weekend with company and lots of eating out, XOs and just plain off-plan eating. This shake made 6 cups of fluffy, puffy creaminess, with no dairy! (except the whey protein powder) I like getting okra into my morning shakes, and I even add it to my regular Yuck Yum Bitty.


This shake is not in-your-face-chocolatey, more of a gentle milk chocolate. You could increase the chocolate extract or cocoa powder to get more chocolate, or replace with black cocoa powder for an oreo cookie effect, but I haven't tried that yet.


I have a Ninja Blender, so it took about 2 minutes to cream up my okra. If you have a BlendTec or Vitamix, you'll probably be OK with 1 minute, before adding the whey. Just make sure the okra is gone, or in small enough pieces that you'll just drink it down.


Follow the instructions for Cheesecake Shakedown in Trim Healthy Table, page 470, but make the following changes:


  • you can use the listed sweeteners, but I replaced with 3 doonks of stevia

  • replace the butter extract and lemon juice with 1 tsp. Natural Burst Chocolate Extract

  • ADD 2T cocoa powder

  • ADD 1C okra

  • DO NOT USE gluccie (the okra thickens plenty)

  • replace regular whey with Chocolate Whey
